Longest Minutes
Laying down, feeling the cold wind dance across my bare arms and legs. Chills repeatedly going up my spine and the moonlite that won't be lasting for much longer fills my room. The goosebumps from the wind calms me like a mothers touch to a distressed child. The butterflies that I had forgot were brought back and I remembered them very clearly. I tried to picture happy days, calm yet crazy, fun days and it sort of calms me. Under the covers I can feel my foot absent mindedly tapping away,
trying to breathe
just waiting for that alarm to go off.
Minutes feeling like each one lasted a season.
*beep,*beep,*beep
truly, that was the longest
five minutes
of my life.
