4 Square MAG
4-SQUARE
I can see 4 squares on my bedspread,
4 squares of liquid Moon-light.
I am bathing in Moon-dust
on a polyester and cotton blend.
Enhancing shadows to a deeper darkness,
the Moon makes 4 squares.
The apples of the Moon-tree dapple the sky.
I can feel the roots reaching out to me, strong arms of liquid Moon-light.
Where is it growing?
Where is it going?
Into my room, on my bedspread,
the sunshine of my dark night.
Darkness comforts those who must
swing with the Pendulum
and who gather the apples of the Moon-tree
in the satin basket of life.
4 squares,
the 4 doors to the hollow,
yet always strong and supportive,
Moon-tree.
Only you can lock the doors,
like the door to your heart.
4 squares, 4 doors, 4 orchards from the heavens.
Let me climb your tree,
and swing from your branches,
and lay beneath your leaves ...
beautiful Moon-tree,
embrace me with your comforting limbs.
