ODE TO GRASS
The melting smell of a blade of grass.
It will be ashes before you know IT!
It’s as thin as a razor but as flexible as rubber.
It feels like cacti spines but worse. It smells like grass because it is grass. It will start fires but not end them.
That’s all for this paragraph.
It’s July and the grass is brown and dry.
It will burn soon.
The weird things are they are weird.
It sounds like growing crops like wheat and corn swaying in the wind.
It sounds like the wind.
That’s all folks!
