I Set A Tree on Fire Today

I set a tree on fire today
because it brought me joy.
I set a tree on fire today
because it brought me joy.
This tree is on fire because it grew
and soaked up all the rain.
This tree is on fire because I am through
and harboured in the pain.
I can't put out the growing flame
the branches are askew.
Only I can take the blame,
because trees are just a few.
