Do You Want Something More?
His whispered offering climbed into my ear,
Crusading on a mission towards my heart.
It’s universal message barbed and righteous,
Their desperate fight desired to change my loyalties.
But strong defense of mine took words for the literal
And forced my own defense to fight back harder.
Yet when my toes began to grip the sand,
Away from men with faith and ruthless bloodlust,
Advising tones arose inside my head
To ask why God’s grenades did not hit harder.
