Art's Deathbed

When art becomes a burden one must pray
That temporary just division stays,
For if the rift begins to grow and thrive,
The artist’s will to create will surely die.
Pianists’ fingers brittle from their craft,
And painters lose the gift of capturing laugh.
Yet through these hardships art can still prevail
So long as art to coffins is not nailed.
