He stumbled through the hall
He stumbled through the hall
Tears in his eyes.
No one dared talk to him
Or even ask why.
He barely got a glance.
A friend? Not a chance.
As much as you say you'd like to try
You don't really care what's on the other side.
For as long as your life is peachy-keen,
You’d rather strangers’ problems remain unseen.
But take a second.
Walk two moons in someone else’s shoes.
No family. No friends.
Nothing to lose.
No one dared talk to him
Or even ask why.
For he was an outcast, unpopular, and shy.
How does it feel
Knowing you could have been the change?
Just by a smile, or a few words exchanged.
Too late now.
He’s gone.
That’s it.
All because of your ‘too cool for you’ antics.
