Summer
The hot sun beats down on the sparkling sand
Her brown hair shimmers with golden streaks
She watches the children running and playing
Jumping into the clear blue water
The waves crash above her head
As she runs out of the water,
Her feet squish into the sponge-like sand.
She lies in her blue and white lounge chair
Attempting to soak up every last minute of the near-ending summer
Walking to the car she turns and looks at the ocean behind her,
The sun is setting just beyond it,
She looks and waves goodbye to the last day of summer.
