Hole in Sock
Oh awful pity me thinks early morn’
For open wide a gap on my sock be.
Alas! My phalanges have conducted
Through linen egress, stopping after naught.
Erect as meerkat under grassland seen,
The sunlight early breaking morning note.
Invasion frigid lacking compromise,
Consider change in footwear, people shake.
But I will not, for shadowed statues don’t
Stray away thine self. Similar to me,
Imperfect, yet a greatness still is held.
