Parents
Mother and Father
This ode is to thee.
Unflappable in your own way,
You are the elite.
Wise like monks
Knowing what is ahead,
But not uniquely for me.
Parents have learned each lesson,
I have yet to.
You are a drowsy man watching,
Watching the game we call our life.
You test me,
Stepping in when necessary.
A teacher looking out for their student
Mom, delicate and warm-hearted
Dad, resistant but fair
Diverse qualities
Securing you as my supreme parents.
