Untitled
and the hole in me spreads, creeping, devouring.
(rather like the crack in my computer screen,
as i sit here waiting for your name to appear on my messenger)
tear drops,
rain drops?
one.
drip.
two.
drip.
falling in meter
one.
two.
three.
four.
one
and two
and three
and four
and one and two and turn and turn…
dizzy, my love?
turn enough, and the world flips over.
fall to the ground
(the sky?),
love-dizzy-sick,
ring around the rosy, pockets full of posy, ashes, ashes,
all fall…
fall…
falling?
no, no, dear.
flying.
dreaming?
maybe.
now i lay me down to sleep
(sleep, soft-silent, muffled melodies)
i pray the lord my soul to keep
(sleep, dear. dream, dear. fly, dear, fly)
guide me safely through the night
(and in the darkness, find me, darling)
and wake me with the morning light
(a dream of morning, sunshine bright)
hold me,
closer,
the dark, it scares me.
It creeps…
crawls…
devours?
yes.
that's the word.
devouring.
rather like the crack in my computer screen,
as i sit here waiting for your name to appear on my messenger.
