The Pattern of Life
Hold on,
But the hand pulls away,
And you fall
Into the unknown.
It has its reasons,
It has its roots,
But it’s only you,
Light as a feather,
Who doesn’t know
Where she has flown.
Carried by wind,
You see only demons,
The world is alien,
But you don’t care
You start to let go
Of the blinding fear.
You are so lonely,
But by now you like it,
Appreciate it,
Enjoy it,
You savor this time
And you don’t sh ed a tear.
The fog starts to clear,
And disappears completely,
You are newly aware
Of the beautiful world,
Perfect,
Down below.
The clock is ticking,
And everything slowly fades
With the circling minutes
It’s time to go.
