Down Fall of Civilization
Our bodies are massive computers
Our minds the motherboards, holding memories, images and audio.
Each word from my lips a keystroke, a twitch of a hand that may not be mine.
Miles of thin wire veins, extension cords connecting you to me. Without them our world would be gone, our modems shut down once and for all.
The hard drive, our hearts, its warm lulling purrs, can be turned off, but never restarted.
