Loyalty to petrified opinions never once broke a human chain or freed a human soul- and it never will<br /> - Mark Twain

How dost the fair maiden fare
When she becomes very aware
That her life is tumbling toward despair
Does anyone care
Or even find it unfair

Because of that decision
That impaired her vision
A great division
Between her and the rest of the world
Is formed

Too bad she was never informed
Of how such a verdict
Could deform
Everything that she held as the norm

As the result of her judgment grows
It shows
That everyone else knows
Despite her choice in clothes
She is forever exposed

And where is her partner in crime?
Gone
Living in a sublime
Known as ignorance
No attendance
In the worlds compulsion
Of her expulsion
Oblivious to the convulsion

She is all alone
To endure the cyclone
But for not much longer will she be on her own
Within time she will groan and moan
Within time another
Unwanted to the new mother
Will appear
It will be very clear
That the year
To come
Will most defiantly succumb
To hardship
That will whip and nip

Oh what is to come
Of the fair maiden who knows not
How she fares
