Something I Mean
When I first came to this school I thought everyone was bad,
Everyday I walk up and down these hall ways and it makes me mad,
It makes me mad because I didn’t open my eyes,
I fail to see that what I was seeing was lies,
Everyone here is trying to make it out of here,
Even if it might be something they fear,
It’s not just me that has a dream but we all have dreams,
Something deep inside that we all mean,
The posters hanging up say be the change,
But not only in school but also out of school range,
I want to be something in life,
Even if I have to put up a fight,
I will never give up,
Even if my peers around me have an attitude like they have bad luck,,
In June of 2008 I’m going to wear my cap and gown proud,
Even if I walk across the stage and nobody makes a sound,
Because me I have a dream and yes it’s something that I mean.
