Observe Nature
A circle of leaves is raised gently
from its winter bed,
blown aside by the harsh
persistent moan of the
November wind.
Revealed is earthen stone,
the once fertile, malleable median
of nature and man now lays sleeping,
frozen in its memories of
Spring.
It is here in the Hinterland
where the earth is free,
where farmer workers with
Nature, achieving
simple calm existence,
that the portrait of cooperation is painted.
