Messadah
The shore of the Dead Sea meandered into the distance,
Blazing blue under the morning sun.
The stones of time were scattered about me,
The ground still tainted with holy blood.
The flag of my people billowed proudly,
Facing the sands of the Negev.
My father was there before me.
His father there before him.
I stood in the land of my ancestors,
My land,
The land of my children.
