Forgotten Rain Dances
The rain pours down, making a passive song on the compressed sand. Tears mix with rain as I tilt my face toward the bursting sky The rain cleared away everything that had built up over the summer. Finally I could set it all free as I spun in circles The sand damp beneath my feet as I walked along the dark shore. The rain beat down upon the forever churning waves Nothing stopped for me, life went on, people grew older, and changed. But most of all you forgot. You forgot about our rain dances in the shadows of the night. You forgot how it helped keep us young. You forgot.
