Who Am I?
Who Am I? You see me pass in most every parade, But do you stand and salute? No, only those who have fought for me. Who am I? Oh, after 9/11, I was quite popular, But now no one takes me off the shelf. I've lain over coffins of soldiers, I've been given to their mothers. Who am I? Sure, you may say a pledge to me, But even that is becoming unpopular. I stand for the cause of liberty, With the colors of red, white, and blue. Who am I? I lead my troops into battle, And hopefully lead them out. Men have risked their lives to raise me While others still abase me. I am Old Glory, long may I wave In this land of the free, home of the brave.
