Strolling down the roads of Belarus
I realize that the lifestyle in the United States
Is very different
The people in Russia don’t
Dress like we do
They don’t eat
The same food as we do
They even have different entertainment
Than we do
I take a seat and begin to consider
This is where my parents and grandparents were born
This is how they dressed and this is what they ate
This is the lifestyle that they lived
This is my background
This is my culture
