The River Symphony
All is calm all is peaceful,
nothing seems to stir,
Then from behind, a
----------------------------whooshing
sound, the water
Starts to whir. It
c
a
s
c
a
d
e
s
d
o
w
n,
all around
Things start to come to life,
but still it’s safe,
peace prevails,
No thoughts of war or strife.
The water chants, then the trees,
birds and bushes too.
The song of nature’s
Harmony, this number is not new.
The skies gaze down
On the
whispering streams,
exchanging information,
I don’t know what they have to say, it’s a secretive sensation.
It’s
farther down the stream now,
the rill is getting

its game’s already tougher.
Plants rise in vain, their petals to the sky,
the tributary can only sigh.
Then barren concrete, the tomb of the water, the liquid wants to get out!
Fighting it,
taunting it,
the river wants to shout!
Then all is calm,
all serene, the concert’s almost complete,
Then nature rests, it’s for the best,
Back to a steady beat.
