My Sister
My sister who’s smile is a Picasso painting
Whose eyelashes are un-harvested fields of corn
Whose eyes are a locket that snap open and shut
A locket that’s different every time you look in to it
My sister whose voice the grunt of a rhino
Whose voice is the shriek of a cat caught off guard
Whose eyes are naked almonds
But then you look back and there’s a thin sheet of brown
My sister whose hugs are like wrestling a hyena
Whose hair is large constrictors with scaly skin
Whose laughter is a million miles away
