Misery
Misery engulfs my heart, so weak
I stumble down to my knees
Tears sting my face, hugging my cheeks
The smile, once upon my face
Gone like the summer's glowing warmth
Agonizing pain crashes in, crushing my heart
So fragile and small
No more can I bear; I'm done
But I do not end myself
I give it all to my Father, God
I scream in agony, "Please take it!
I need your help! Take it now!"
He seizes it up with great ease
Throws it in the wind, blowing it away
Nevermore shall it be seen
He picks me up, saves me from myself
Heals my heart, mends my brokeness
Forever thankful, always and always
My heart shall abide in Him
