You Color My Rainbow
My life is filled with shadow, now that you are gone.
You entered my life in a time of unknown darkness,
I lived in an invisible cage,
not knowing life was meant to be lived free and untamed.
I don't believe in mistakes,
all things have a divine purpose.
And though the thought is difficult to take,
your leaving will bring good.
I saw you today as I received you in the hall.
Your face was empty, and I could see your pain.
There was a spark of life I had always seen, but not today.
The spark was dead, and you were drained.
All you ever asked out of life was love,
a love that constantly tortured you,
a love that was gracefully given, and viciously ripped away.
A bit of your spirit stripped away every time.
And as my tears flow down, I wish I could see you now,
to run into you with open arms.
Are you scared? Are you alone?
I wish I could be there to help you, if fate would allow.
I know you'll be back soon, and you will be so changed.
Your spark will have returned,
and I pray is there to stay.
I just want to tell you I love you,
and that this can't be goodbye.
This is simply, "I'll see you soon."
I can't wait for that day, that time.
