Becoming Like Me

I'm trying not to cry
but I can only be so strong
when my best friend is hurting herself
more than she will ever know.
I know what it's like
and the way that she feels
but she doesn't need to
announce it to the world.
She can stop right now
so it won't be as hard
but if she waits any longer
it will be almost impossible.
Except she won't listen to any of us
especially me beacuse I do it to
she's making her life worse
and she's becoming like me.
