Mine is an uncertain dream
One filled with fog and haze
Will I sew my coat with golden seam?
Or lose myself in a daze?
Shall I forgive and then forget?
Maybe lend a helping hand
Or cast them all away
Like grains of simple sand?
Should it be that I will fall
Clutching my golden lace?
Only to be saved and blessed
By a just and loving grace
What my dreams mean, I do not know
The future; how am I to see?
I have to hope that I will grow
Into a life I'm proud to call me
