The Endless December
It’s March and warm spring should be here,
But it seems we’re set for disappointment.
We’re trapped in an endless December, I fear.
There’s snow all around me, so near,
And the bitter cold never leaves me.
It’s March and warm spring is not here.
The birth of the flowers is not near,
The blanket of snow has suffocated them,
They don’t grow in endless December, I fear.
The sun will stay simply to leer,
It doesn’t do anything to warm us, despite
March is ending and warm spring is not here.
It’s summer and the snow is still clear,
It’s welcome is—overstayed, so leave!
The endless December is closing, I fear.
So pack up your things and steer clear,
We don’t want you here anymore, darn snow,
It’s March and warm spring will be here,
Goodbye December, you endless December, no fear.
