Words
all of this will come to pass
behind these walls you've made of glass
can you see what lies inside
deep within these open eyes?
everything is shown in turn, then
forgotten when the fire burns
going on and up and out
hoarded for these lips to shout
intense visions of what could be
juxtaposed for us to see, the
karmic balance, love and hate
like a fisherman, he sets his bait
muttering fables in our dreams, and
nesting in mind's hidden seams
opening doors to let in light
prized in the shadows of the night, the
quintessence of all we know
resting in the eye of a crow
sitting on a line up high
tethered by the strain of time
underneath it all, were merely
vessels for a lie, told dearly
when we almost reach the top, then
x-rayed till we learn to stop
yearning for things well out of range, but find things
zealeous with heart and ambition for change
