I'm no longer here
If my eyes stare at you
A twinkle you'll see
But inside is a void
Of what I used to be.
For pain and time
Has taken its roll
And I'm no more
but am just a hole.
I am an outer shell
Without a center, a
Closed, empty place
With none who enter.
Look at me smile, and
See the life portray
But at night you see
The truth hidden by day.
I keep myself gone
Through none remains
See what fun I could be
But which no more retains.
I'm no longer here
I left long ago, its true
All that is left of me
The eyes staring at you.
