Shadow
I walk down the street with you side by side we walk down the deserted road blinded by the darkness of the night.
I walk down the lonely street alone with only the depth of my breathing and the sound of my body moving on the cold concrete.
The lights flicker slowly as the darkened alley starts to shed a few flecks of light.
You and me we walk alone down the tarnished rundown street alone abandoned buildings with half shattered glass windows.
Always a step behind me sometimes you get big sometimes your small or in the middle of it all.
No face to show just a darkened filled 2d outline of a 3d figure that tries to stand up tall only to fall.
You are my shadow and your eternally there for as long as I shall live following me in the midst of the dark.
