Camouflaged lies
If truth escapes the clock,
Will it tomorrow still tic and tock?
If the world was based upon lies,
Could we still see the truth beyond our eyes?
If I told you my heart broke in two,
Would it even mean a thing to you?
If a fake smile made your day,
How could a real frown break your day?
If you can see what tomorrow brings,
Will you tell me what my future will be?
If you hold the truth and I hold a lie,
Would this very poem I’ve written still capture your mind?
