My Grave
I remember you thought I could be saved
When you saw me alone, out digging a grave.
You jumped in there with me and told me, "Don't cry."
I turned away from you, peaceful feeling, dry eyes.
Don't be so naive, fearing holes in the ground.
Where else could you go to feel so safe and sound?
I like it alone where I can't be reached.
My own soul's security can never be breached.
No need to keep trying, just walk away
And leave me alone to keep digging my grave.
