My Broken Promise
Guilt weighs me down, for I am weak
It finds and destroys every good feeling
Until there are no more left for it to seek
I am surrounded by darkness, I am nothing
Regret taunts me
Remorse haunts me
She is my only remaining thought
Still begging for me to come and play
Though She knows that I will not
I yell, She laughs and skips away
Collie taunts me
Linnie haunts me
Her image commands my nightmare
She is pointing at the window
Her accusing eyes are filled with terror
I ignore Her. I did not know
Blue Eyes taunt me
Brown Eyes haunt me
They know it was all my fault
That they were unfairly kidnapped
And now, forever in Hell I will rot
Because I disregarded our verbal contract
Tears taunt me
Fears haunt me
Big sister tries to save the little one
But I should never have turned away
Now Blue Eyes and Brown Eyes are gone
My butterflies were taken; they never had a say
Death taunts me
Suicide haunts me
Mother, I sincerely apologize
Thank you for my last goodnight kiss
I'm sorry it has to end in my demise
But I cannot live with this broken promise
Shadows surround me
Hell has found me
