Cupid's Favorite Fool
Love is what I want
Yet never in my reach
I envy the ones that flaunt
What they have in front of me
To love somebody deeply
And have the feeling be returned
Is something I'll always envy
Because I'm tired of being burned
I'm tired of being hurt
I'm tired of the tears
To never be loved has become my biggest fear
Rejected by many, loved by none
Never given the chance to prove i'm worth their love
Always Reduced to playing second best
And disguising my hurt so I appear like the rest
But if you look through my forced smile you'll see my heart in shreds
I'm Cupid's biggest tool
His favorite fool
Tempting me with promises of love and happiness
But all i get are snakes
Perceived as Romeo by their romantics
My heart is Cupid's vassal
to either pleasure or mishandle
And I am just a girl--
Done with the game
And her heart and dreams in shambles
