My Home
In my heart I'm so alone
Wondering this world to find my home
I stay in my small corner
While the world behaves like Noah's ark
By two's they're pairing off
While I, reduced as spectator
Just sit and watch
I watch the world whirl around me
As I struggle to find my place
I watch as they laugh, and sing, and dance
And wonder how they can be okay
Do they feel the hurt I feel every day
Do they never feel dissatisfied
Or are they just like me
Living a lie
Oh how I envy your brazen confidence
The joy in your eyes
The smile on your face
Knowing it could never be mine
Because the world would know it was fake
My heart calls out for a kindrid spirit
For someone who understands my experience
One who will stroke my hurt
And calm my fears
Coax me out of my corner
And wipe away the tears
Promises I'll never be alone
And takes me by the hand and says
It's time to go home
