the Ocean
Colors swirl and churn and fade,
Bright azure and muted jade,
Golden light like darts to the deep
Where Eels swim and dark things sleep
The breakers pulse like beating drums,
They neither go and neither come,
Always moving: in and out
They sway to a song of fear and doubt
The beach: of white and golden sand
Dotted with the shells of crabs and clams
O, the dance of the Sea is always in motion
The creation of God: His Sapphire Ocean
