A cycle of change.

The biggest transformation

an organism goes through.

A caterpillar wrapped up as if in a blanket.

When it awakes

from the slumber of waiting to change

exotically patterned wings are discovered.

He flutters them as he takes flight,

to start his new life as a butterfly.

Tadpoles are born into a life underwater.

He rapidly swims to find new adventures.

Time passes and he gets slower.

Legs replace his tail,

And he hops onto land,

happily hopping in its new form as a frog.

The butterfly and frog lay eggs and the cycle starts over.
