Ode to the River

Oh! Your sound,
The way you run,
And your color.
You are a place to swim,
A place to watch,
A place to think.
The summer is my favorite,
I jump into the mild waters,
And i am refreshed.
Fall is tricky,
Trying to use you as much as possible,
Before it gets too cold.
Winter is torture,
Watching you icily move,
Wishing and waiting.
Soon comes Spring,
Often testing the waters,
To see if it's finally warm.
