Twelve Roses
Tears were rolling down her face as she acknowledged the twelve red objects.
A funeral was enough to try and bear being only an adolescent.
Death is shattering .The feeling of loss is unbearable.
To see the roses in the coffin was worse than anything imagined.
Her lifeless mother was receiving the gift she had always longed for.
Twelve red roses.
Beautiful vibrant flowers that represent love and happiness.
Now they were causing immense sadness and hurt.
From that horrific day this flower would forever represent death and loneliness.
