RIP Daniel
RIP Daniel S.
An innocent boy misfortuned in the street
The blink of an eye ‘til life and death meet
Helpless and alone in the midst of night
A desperate teen who strives for his life
How could they let him slip away
Days before his eighteenth birthday
Leaving this world so painfully slow
Funny the innocent are the first to go
When found he was beaten upon his head
Treated for a month from a hospital bed
For the rest we walked a bed of nails
‘Til the day life support was going to fail
Sometimes I sit and I wonder why
I was never allowed to say goodbye
I mean these words in pure tribute
For the boy who was tortured to be mute
Who was done so incredibly wrong
For demonstrating how to be strong
This, my friend, is not the end
I promise we will meet again
