Gentle Flame
Keep glowing on, gentle flame
Through all that's forgotten
Memories remain
Through the stormy days
The loneliest of nights
When any soul gone astray
The flame ignites
Keep leading on, humble flame
When the mind fell dark
The heart stayed the same
Glow through the emptiness
Through the mindless stares
The flame seemed to flicker
Though no one else cared
Hang on, delicate flame
Time is short
For what good that became
Give off your finishing warmth
Just one last light
Though you might not make it
Through your final night
One last quiver
One last omit
The time had come
The flame had to quit
Then people did notice
Even the careless ones cared
No one wanted to let go
To a flame so rare
It helped few and many
Gave a gleam in ones eye
It's hardships were plenty
It didn't deserve to die
The air was left clear
And there wasn't a doubt
The flame would be remembered
Long after it went out
