The Chance
Why is my vapid mind so weak?
To compare the beast of me
To the heavenly angel you appear to be
My mind ravels with obsessed thoughts
Of who you love, if you pray to God?
That it's me, you'll have to renew your hope lost
When you reveal the little boy I know is there
I'll love and nurture you with all of my care
Because I'll be your guardian now and anywhere
But why won't you cast your eyes
Onto this monster that might save your life
From turning into a little, lonely demise?
If you could just give me one chance
I know that you wouldn't ever look back
To me as a regret made with times pass
