A most noble knight,

Both man and beast fearest even the mention of his existence,

A lovely maiden,
Eyes brighter than a summer's sun,

But thee had turned a deafened ear,

Along a lowly stream,

And hums to the sound of the waters,
That once was all his own,

The author's comments:
Fear. Our greatest enemy and most welcoming friend. Always ready to stand by us but never failing to seclude us from our joys and happiness. Fear. Does it exist? Only to the eyes of the beholder. We create our fears. We feed our fears. We feed until there is nothing left to feed. Then we die.
This poem speaks of a king who, because of his fears, led to his own downfall. Shall we allow ourselves to live the same life? Only we can decide...
