That old, crumbling castle
Was such a hassle?
To build so mighty and high,
So high, it scraped the sky.

The intricate carved doors, lined with mahogany,
Now groan and moan, screaming in agony.
Some bricks were red as blood, others as black as night
My, back then, it was such a sight

The bedrooms, so old and dusty,
The crimson curtains, hang flaking and crusty.
The floor is littered with dirt and wood,
And chunks of stone in places where old pillars once stood.
Tapestries torn, paintings ripped,
The wall black, and shiny, where oil tipped.

I come to this forgotten place, made of rock and stone
To remember that this once was my home.
