Biological ties
Mythological eyes
Looking down
On this little town
With total control
They make the ball roll
But what happens when the ball drops
The world quits turning and time stops
Clocks won't tick
Frog's tongues won't stick
Birds won't sing
Phones won't ring
Clouds will leave the sky
Mountains will change where they lie
Waiting on the crown
To begin the countdown
To gain a soul
And be made whole
No longer must they shadow the crops
Or be stepped on from their bottoms to their tops
And the wind will no longer lick
The face of those that the heat makes sick
The moon will be cut from its string
And no more to the earth will it cling
We will watch it float away as it tries
To see where the end of the universe lies
It waits for the universal gates to breakdown
And witness and interdimensional meltdown
Forever gone after entering the wormhole
Now to the sun we must console
No longer can we use imaginary mental props
To keep away each person's inner sociopathic cyclops
To the mind the will pick
Until societal sanity can no longer click
Universal depression this will bring
For we were suppose to be their redemptive king
But when the ball bounces
We will be a society that the universe denounces
