Treason
My act and my reason
In their eyes were treason
Yet I broke no laws
I simply trimmed their pointy claws
To ease the pain of the scratch
I'm the rotten apple in there batch
Rotten to the core
But they don't see that I'm more
More than what they think of me
I'm perfectly ripe in a place they'll never see
A place where two eyes are blind
And the impartial third can see what they can't find
In a place where you're blind, you're destined to fall
When you lock up your mind, you'll never walk, only crawl
You say you don't judge
You don't hold a grudge
But you are no god
Your portrayal is a fraud
You persecute me
For not seeing the way you see
My act is that I wrote this where you dwell
My reason, I don't agree that because of one act, we've eternally fell
So that is my act, that is my reason
Call it what you will, but don't call it treason
