Falling Adrift
I'm tired and hungry
Please recognize this part of me
Cold and dead drifting out to sea
But I'm just another leaf falling off this tree
I'll be replaced with another
So nobody bother
Mourning for me like a father
Losing is prodigal son or daughter
And just like pennies thrown for a wish
I'll sink to the bottom and glare at the fish
And just like all the possessions they cherish
One day I'll rot away and simply just vanish
Leaving no legacy
No remnants of me
I went out to sea
Fell off the tree
So tired, so hungry
