New clothes
Deep breath, deep sigh.
Another day, another dollar.
Another day, another sacrifice.
Another mantlepiece trophy
and hat full of lice.
It's raining linoleum floor tiles
plastering the earth
with nameless facts and accusations.
Pointing the finger
and where does it land?
In my hand.
The band plays the chorus,
play on my misfortune.
The terror in distortion.
Disillusion.
Disassemble
the craddel on the floor.
All grown up and I don't need it anymore.
