There Is A Peace

There is a peace that has it all,
Blooms so bright and trees so tall,
A shower of beauty when the leaves fall,
And a sweet salute of a blue bird's call.

There is a peace like in a dream,
With friendly sun and glistening streams,
Constantly reminding me,
That life is better than it seems.

There is a peace that is my friend,
And conversations have no end,
Empathy it's willing to lend,
Becoming a wall for me to depend.

There is a peace where I feel at home,
And skip around like a flattened stone,
Allowing every thought to roam,
Following the steps to where I've grown.

There is a peace that gives me a break,
From every stress, insult, mistake,
It's there for me when I awake,
On a walk I like to take.
