Broken Angel
You tore her down
And left scars.
You beat her up
And left marks.
The emotional damage
Cannot be changed
Her broken bones
Have been rearranged
Her heart, however
Is something cold
You caused her pain
You stole her soul
A lost heart
A lost mind
None of which
she can find
Gone is her innocence
Her body used
No longer unsullied
She's been bruised
Forever scars
Forever tears
Forever nightmares
Forever fears
It's been a secret
She's never told
Her untarnished body
In which you sold
Embarrassment strikes you
You stooped so low
How could you do it?
You let her go....
She was just a girl
Only sixteen
But now she's gone
With her self esteem
Her soul is free
As is her mind
But that lost heart
Is a challenge to find
She's happy now
Distanced from you
From the hands that kill
And all fears too.
She's a broken angel
Her wings spread
In the arms of death
She's a best friend.
